We love to read reviews of our guests' time spent at The Old Parlour to know that that they fully enjoyed themselves and to help us know how we can do better.Below are some examples of of the wonderful comments we have received from our guests.
We will definitely stay again.
Wow, definitely the nicest place we've stayed. The attention to detail and ensuring everything is supplied was superb. We were able to do as much cooking as we would at home and even laundry items were supplied so we could wash as we went along. It has everything you need to be a home away from home which is brilliant with young children.
The extras such as the kids toys and climbing frame were very much enjoyed and there was plenty of room for a travel cot for the baby. It's also got loads to entertain older kids and adults with the table football, table tennis, hot tub and Netflix. The owners are very friendly and will help with any questions you might have.
We will definitely stay again.
We loved our stay
From the second you step inside the door of The Old Parlour, you are greeted with a spacious clean interior, stylish oak furniture and top of the range appliances. The open plan kitchen, diner, lounge area is a fantastic communal area and whether you are cooking at the fabulous range, relaxing on the comfy sofas watching TV or playing one of the board games provided for you at the large table, everyone can feel part of what’s going on.
In the kitchen there is ample space available to store your food in the cupboards and American fridge freezer, along with a plentiful provision of cutlery, crockery, utensils and pans to whip up that large family meal!
The three double bedrooms upstairs are all light and fresh being well-proportioned, each with adequate clothing storage, plenty of electrical sockets, a good sized TV and comfy beds. The en-suite and separate shower room are clean and well designed with heated towel radiators to quickly dry the fluffy towels provided.
On the lower floor there is an extremely useful utility room fitted with sink, washer and separate dryer, along with the second living room which houses a large comfy corner sofa and the compulsory for all to play, table football. Huge fold back doors open this room up into the courtyard where you will find a sturdy children’s play tower, full size table tennis and the lavish hot tub, providing hours fun for all ages. There is also another large table and plentiful seating next to the BBQ allowing for outside dining in this sun trap.
The bonus of the outside shower for hosing off the dogs and wetsuits after beach days meant we didn‘t need to worry about sand being dragged inside and the shampoo provided made our furry friends smell wonderful.
Finally the master bedroom, or should it be called the master suite? Absolutely huge! Once again plenty of storage for your clothing in the beautiful oak furniture, a comfy sofa for quietly reading my book in solitude and a fully fitted bathroom at the end. Double doors opening onto the courtyard makes this room feel like an annexe on its own.
If you want to take your furry friends (as we did) there is also plentiful provision for them too with their own beds and bowls.
To sum up our stay at The Old Parlour – it was tremendous, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, every little detail has been thought of for you to enjoy a relaxing break without a care in the world. We have already recommended to some friends and will be looking to go back ourselves in the future.
